How RoamMetric compares eSIM plans

RoamMetric compares travel eSIM plans from verified partner catalogs. You set the destination, trip length and data allowance. We filter and sort the matching records. We do not pick a winner.

What RoamMetric is

RoamMetric is a comparison tool, not an eSIM seller. The public catalog is built from official partner feeds for Yesim, Breeze, Maya Mobile and Airalo. You buy from the provider. We do not take payment.

This page explains how the comparison is built. For the three-step guide, see How it works.

What you set

Destination is one or more countries. A plan matches only if its coverage includes every selected country.

Trip length is 1 to 365 days. A plan matches when its validity is at least that long. Changing the number of days never changes the data amount.

Data allowance is your choice: no preference, a fixed minimum (1, 3, 5, 10, 20 or 50 GB), or unlimited only. We do not estimate how much data you need. Understanding data allowances explains how to read those terms.

Optional required features are hotspot, calls and SMS, and 5G. Leave a box unchecked for any. Tick it only when the provider record must explicitly confirm support.

Phone support is a separate check on Device compatibility. It is not a plan filter.

How matching works

Each result is a plan record that passed every selected filter against the current validated snapshots.

Coverage comes from the record. We do not infer a country list from a region label.

Unlimited plans keep the fair-use or throttle note the source supplied. If the source did not publish a threshold, the field stays unknown.

Activation, hotspot, calls, SMS, 5G, taxes and network names appear only when the source provides them.

If nothing matches, no validated snapshot has a record that covers every selected country and filter with every required feature confirmed. Unknown does not pass a required tick.

How sorting works

You choose the sort field and direction: price, price per GB, data or validity. Your selected visible field determines the primary order. Price per GB is available only for finite fixed allowances; unavailable values stay last in that sort.

We do not pick a best plan, a promoted offer or a score. We do not blend fields into a hidden ranking. Commission, payout and partner status are not used to sort, boost, bury or filter plans. Reviews, popularity and editorial medals are not sort inputs.

If two plans tie on the chosen field, a stable plan record ID resolves the tie so the order is repeatable. That is not a commercial ranking.

Where the data comes from

We import official partner catalogs outside the browser, validate each record, and publish an immutable snapshot with an observation time.

On the comparison results you can see when the oldest provider snapshot was observed (UTC), how many records were accepted and how many were rejected at import, and whether the snapshot was fresh at build time. If it is stale, the last known good data stays visible and is labelled as stale.

Rejected records stay out of the public comparison. We do not scrape provider sites to fill gaps, and we do not invent missing fields.

Plan details can change after a snapshot. Confirm price, coverage, validity, activation and conditions on the provider's page before you buy.

Unknown fields stay unknown

A missing value is a fact. If a feed does not say whether hotspot, 5G, calls, SMS, taxes or network names apply, the comparison shows unknown.

Unknown never counts as support. A required-feature filter drops unknown records. We do not complete a record from a marketing page.

Affiliate disclosure

RoamMetric is free to use. Some links labelled Open exact plan are partner links for Yesim, Breeze, Maya Mobile and Airalo. If you buy after following one, DELTA LEGEN LTD. may receive a commission. That does not change the price the provider charges you.

Commission is not a comparison input. It does not change which plans appear, how they are filtered, or the sort order you selected.

RoamMetric is operated by DELTA LEGEN LTD. Company details are on the legal notice. Purchases, activation, refunds and support are handled by the provider.

What we do not publish

This is not a list of country deals, a ranking of eSIM brands, or a data calculator. We do not publish speed tests. We do not tell you how many gigabytes to buy.

Before you buy

Check that the plan's destination list covers every country you need. Read validity and what starts the clock. Read any fair-use or hotspot limit. If you are unsure about the phone, use Device compatibility. Then open the provider page and verify the live price and terms.

Questions about the method

Do you pick a winner?

No. Matching plans are the records that fit your filters. You choose.

Does commission change the order?

No. You sort by price, price per GB, data or validity. Commission is not a field in that sort.

Why do some plans show unknown?

The official feed did not supply that field. We leave it unknown instead of guessing.

How fresh is the catalog?

Each snapshot has an observation time, shown on the results. If a snapshot is stale, we keep the last known good data visible and label it. Always confirm on the provider page.

Why are there no results?

No validated snapshot has a plan that covers every selected country, duration, allowance and required feature. Clear a required extra, or change destination, days or data.

Do you sell eSIMs?

No. You buy from the provider. See Terms.
